It's been a while since I have been back, but happy hour always rocked here! Sashimi, rooks and Salmon Collar rock here

Finally got to try this cute little Japanese spot. Got a table on their tiny patio that was perfect. Sake with Kirin. Sushi that was amazingly fresh and tonkatsu ramen because I absolutely had to have the noodle combination. Wednesdays you can get a bottle of wine & 2 rolls for $25. Sweet server was patient and helpful with her suggestions. It was busy, a sure sign you are eating at somewhere great! Sushi Sen has found a repeat customer in me.

Our food was delicious they have a happy hour sushi rolls for $5!!! You can't beat that our waiters was friendly I love it! I got a Mango margarita yummy!

I honestly stumbled upon this place because the sushi restaurant I wanted to go to was closed that day. I was pleasantly surprised. I wanted to get a little variety. The oshinko roll was not what I'm used to in Hawaii so that was a little bit of a disappointment. The eel cucumber roll was good! I also got the chicken katsu don as this is one of the dishes I get to test an establishment. It was really good. I loved the flavor and was able to take some home for lunch the next day! I can tell they get busy during prime meal times. I sat up at the bar and food came out fairly quickly. Everyone was hustling to get food out especially from the sushi bar. The location is not directly visible from the parking lot. There is a sign and you have to walk through the entry way a little bit to get to the restaurant. I want to go back and try more things on the menu!

I've ordered both take-out and delivery from Sushi Sen and it has always been top notch albeit a bit pricey. So when my friend suggested we meet here for a girls dinner earlier this week, I was all in! Upon being seated, I was pleased to see a more extensive dine-in menu (including a great bento box deal where you choose one item from three different categories), and a nice cocktail / wine / saki list to... Service was on the slow side to start but it was fine after we ordered. The sushi was all very good but some of the cooked food was blah ie: hamachi kama and chicken teriyaki that were served with our bento boxes. One friend had a noodle dish and enjoyed that. Ambiance was pleasant, hostess team was super nice, and I would definitely go back / order again... at least for the sushi!

Huge portions, delicious and fresh! Highly recommend. Best eel Ive ever had. They take reservations which is always a plus.

Sushi Sen is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Arizona! I don't know who else beats this place but I always recommend this place to my friends and family. They offer a variety of sushi as well as traditional Japanese dishes. They are consistently good too! The place is always full but it is also on the smaller side. There's a sushi bar and also a small outdoor patio to enjoy nice weather. Space heaters are available. My go to most of the time are: agedashi sushi and edamame beans to start off. Then nigiri or sashimi (salmon, toro, yellowtail). These are always fresh. Cooked rolls: dragon or caterpillar roll. Then for dinner entree, I love the eel in the box, pork katsu curry (dinner portion), and tonkatsu ramen. The sauces and flavors are so yummy! I love having some of these for leftovers. It's hard to narrow it down to what I want to eat. But those are some good options if you're having a hard time choosing.

This place is great if you're craving sushi. The service is fast and the wait staff are very friendly. The place was crowded when I visited. Ihave the yami roll a try. My taste buds were satisfied but i struggled to eat it because of the size. There was alot of items in there. Lol There is outdoor and indoor seating. However, the inside dining area is fairly small and there was a wait to be seated. It's located in a shopping center. Ample parking. Accessible parking and entrance.

I love coming here for their negi-toro don! It's really a 4.5. Have I had fresher, better tasting sushi? Sure, but value for the quality here is fantastic. I normally get a bento here, which includes edamame, cucumber salad, miso soup, and your choosing of sashimi (I believe six pieces), sushi, and a hot dish for about $26. My go to is the salmon sashimi, a bowl of negi toro don, and their beef stew (to die for)! I've also had their noodle combo as well, which includes your choice of noodles and sushi, for $26-30. I usually get the garlic tonkatsu ramen and the Negi toro don. They also have a happy hour rotation of rolls between 4:30-6, which includes a handful of rolls for only $5! Service is attentive and prompt. It's a small space. I believe they close after lunch and reopen at 4:30. The space is small. I recommend coming here right around when they open for dinner, otherwise you're prepared to be placed on a waitlist.
